The KYT Davey Todd Special Edition KX-1 Race GP combines KYT's flagship race helmet technology with a special-edition Davey Todd graphic and an included signed holographic trading card. Designed and developed in Italy using advanced digital engineering tools, the KX-1 Race GP was created for competition at the highest levels of motorcycle racing.

Developed through more than three years of wind-tunnel and track testing, the KX-1 Race GP is engineered to optimize aerodynamic performance across different riding positions and lean angles. The helmet has undergone rigorous testing with Ducati Corse Factory rider Enea Bastianini and is used in MotoGP™ and WorldSBK™ competition by world-class racers.

A lightweight TRICOMPOSITE shell, multi-density EPS protection, expansive peripheral visibility, seven air intake ducts, race-ready visor system, and premium removable interior make the KX-1 Race GP a purpose-built helmet for riders demanding professional-level performance and protection.

Shell Construction

The KX-1 Race GP shell is manufactured from KYT's TRICOMPOSITE fiber construction, combining carbon, fiberglass, and aramid fibers to create a lightweight shell engineered for high impact resistance. The composite construction uses different fiber weights and breaking loads together with aramid resins to balance strength, protection, and reduced weight.

Protective EPS Liner

The internal EPS polystyrene liner is produced in three sizes and incorporates varying densities to provide progressive energy absorption. This allows the shell and EPS liner to work together to optimize impact-energy management throughout different areas of the helmet.

Aerodynamics & Visibility

Race-Ready Visor

The injected polycarbonate visor features an anti-scratch treatment, variable thickness, and UV 380 ray filtering. The visor is designed for quick removal and uses a metal-alloy release lever for a strong, positive closure.

KYT's metal-alloy Racing Lock System helps reduce the possibility of visor detachment during a crash. The KX-1 Race GP visor is also prepared for racing tear-offs.

Advanced Ventilation

The KX-1 Race GP uses seven air intake ducts working with an integrated internal channel system to provide airflow throughout the helmet. Two submerged rear air extractors work together with the rear spoiler to create a Venturi effect over the exhaust ports, helping draw hot air away from the rider.

Premium Interior

The KX-1 Race GP interior uses premium lightweight and breathable fabrics designed to help wick moisture away from the rider's head while maintaining a fresh and dry feel. Both the cheek pads and internal comfort liner can be removed, washed, and replaced.
